*Cemetery
Monuments and Markers*
In addition
to the terms below, each monument or marker sale has it's own
agreed contractual terms and conditions. Each aspect of the sale
of a monument will be spelled out in the contract. Aspects may
include but are not limited to design, size, color, lettering,
freight, delivery, Installation and payment options.
Lasting Impressions
requires signed approval from each cemetery before an order is
placed for production. This is a courtesy service provided to
our customers to verify the order placed is within the cemeteries
rules and regulations. Providing this service is to help the customer
verify the cemetery will accept their order, however, it is solely
the responsibility of the buyer to insure the item they are purchasing
is within all cemetery rules and regulations.
*Cemetery
Installation Fees and Regulations*
Lasting Impressions
is not responsible for any cemetery or installation fees. The
prices you are given by Lasting Impressions do not include the
cost of installation. Many cemeteries will have fees for installation
and endowment care that you will pay directly to them. Check with
them to find out what those charges might be. Most cemeteries
require payment in full before accepting delivery of a memorial.
When you check with them about their rules and regulations, verify
when the payment has to be made. It may be possible to pay them
as soon as you order the
memorial.
Lasting Impressions
will do everything in it's power to ensure that all memorials
sold meet the requirements of the cemetery in which it is being
installed. It is , however, ultimately the responsibility of the
purchaser that the monument or marker conforms to the cemeteries
regulations.
*Natural
Materials*
When purchasing
a memorial or a marker, the purchaser acknowledges that granite
is a natural material with
variations in color and characteristics. Please see the color
samples on the monuments page for the standard granite colors
for the monuments, bronze and granite markers. Each of these colors
is standard and is included in the price of each item. Occasionally,
cemeteries require granite memorials and markers be a color of
their choosing. Please contact the cemetery to see if a particular
color is required.
*Shipping*
Delivery time
is normally 4-8 weeks from receipt of layout approval, additional
design elements may extend the delivery time. All memorials are
shipped via truck freight. All freight cost are included in the
price of the memorial or the marker to the cemetery or business
destinations within the continental U.S.. Additional shipping
charges will apply if the product is shipped to any other area.
Residential delivery is available at an addition charge. Any special
shipping requirements will be the responsibility of the purchaser.
It is important to inspect the shipment and the product immediately.
The time frame to file a claim is 15 days. All merchandise should
be retained in the original shipping container in the same condition
when damage was discovered-until an inspection can be done. While
Lasting Impressions will assist in filing a claim for damages,
we are not responsible for the memorial or marker after the bill
of lading has been signed and delivery has been accepted.
*Payment*
Lasting Impressions
must be paid in full before submitting order for production. On
cemetery markers and memorial stones, purchaser will receive a
layout for their approval. Production will not begin until signed
copy of layout is received from purchaser by Lasting Impressions
and project has been paid in full. We accept payments in form
of credit cards, money orders and personal checks. All personal
checks must clear the bank before production. There will be a
$35.00 fee for returned checks.
*Sales
Tax*
Sales tax
will be added to all orders shipped within the state of California
at the rate of 7.375%. Purchaser will be responsible for any applicable
taxes in states other than California.
*Cancellations*
Purchaser
has the right to cancel an order up to 48 hours after payment
has been made.
Other Products
Terms and Conditions
Customer designs,
pet memorials, plaques. custom tiles and specialty items must
have signed approval before production begins. A layout will be
sent to purchaser before production for approval. Type of material
must be verified and signed for by purchaser before production
starts. These products vary in material, size and dimension. All
products received by Lasting Impressions from purchaser to be
engraved must be approved by Lasting Impressions before receiving
item.
These items
have same conditions as above for shipping, payment and taxes.
